is what we have going this week. April ends Monday and May begins Tuesday. Not much weather change, though, until it begins to warm up as the week progresses.

April draws to a cold close
Remember March? April didn't turn out quite so well and we move into this final weekend of the month with some very cold weather. We began this Friday morning with some rain/shower activity, but that has all but ended here in Southern Maine. Now we're preparing for some extremely (for April, anyway) cold weather with the possibility of hard freezes Saturday and Sunday nights.
I certainly hope you have a great weekend and that your lawns/gardens don't take a weather hit.

Last Wednesday of the month
is always a great day for me. My group of fellow retirees will meet for lunch today and that conversation is always lively. Speaking of being lively, anyone want to bet whether or not the Sea Dogs game Saturday will be sold out? Dice-K is scheduled to pitch for the dogs.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

April's last full week
and it begins being wet. Good weather should return by midweek, though.

Damp weekend
appears to be in the cards for us. But the real soaking, apparently, could wait until Monday.
I hope you are able to have a super weekend as you scramble between the drops.
Added Saturday night: And we thought the Sox were bad last year. They're trying for a whole new definition this year! Not to worry, though. They just traded with the Cubs for a .070 hitter to bolster the outfield. (In fairness, Byrd is a .278 lifetime hitter; that's 11 seasons.) To hell with getting someone who can pitch!

Could be a nice week
in Maine. Those of us right along the coast will see cooler temperatures getting cooler because of the sea breeze, but not too far inland the temperatures will be warmer without the sea breeze but still cooling off a little as the week progresses. No rain in sight until the weekend. So says the morning weather guy, Kevin Mannix, on WCSH6.
Have a great week, and for some it's a vacation one.

A good weather weekend
has been forecast for our area as this April weekend is underway. The start of next week Monday could remind my returning home Sunday Fearless Friend and Mrs. FF of their stay in Florida, perhaps not quite as warm, only the 80s, but pretty nice just the same.
I hope you have a super weekend.

First full April Weekend
But the weather folk say it could be off and on showers throughout Saturday, Sunday and into most of next week. Nevertheless, I hope you have a very good one.
