It could have been worse!

What an unusual February we've had here in Southern Maine!  We're supposed to get snow.  While such places as Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York City among many in the Northeast, We've had mostly bare ground.

Saturday night, Feb. 27th, that changed ever so slightly.  We didn't get the up to two or three feet of snow as others have this month, but we did get a crunchy (interpret that as icy) inch or two last night.  It's already mostly melted away from roadways, at least in my little corner of the world.

It wasn't much, but it sure was pretty:

Even Gator Golden had to sniff the stuff to remind herself of what it was.

Being "no big deal," she just came back in.

We're told, though, this one may not be quite over.  The forecast calls for the storm to turn around and give us two to four inches Sunday night into Monday morning.
